I've actually managed to do it.
It's a bit of a cheat. I've used another code I've once created for recording microphone sound, and playing it right away.
What I did was that every enterFrame, I've stoped recording, played the recorded sound, displaying the spectrum of the played sound, and then started the recording again.
The sound of the microphone may sound a little studdering, but the spectrum appears nicely.

Hi Mark,

Thanks for the confirmation. You've saved me a lot of time. It seems that Adobe should make Microphone.setLoopBack(true) return a Sound or SoundChannel object to the SoundMixer, or at least allow something similar. I agree, it's quite frustrating.

All the best,

Matt

Mark,

When you import to Papervision from 3DSmax do all the textures that you have already applied come in or do you have to reapply in Papervision?
